September 9: Welcome Back 
Welcome back to Coffee Hours and Adult Forums!

September 16: #MeToo and the Church
From Hollywood to Wall Street to Main Street, stories of sexual misconduct that have long oppressed women and protected men, are coming to light. No institution is exempt, especially houses of worship.

September 23: Haiti Breakfast and Update
Just what you’ve been waiting for, our first Haiti Breakfast of the Church Year! In addition, Jan Ernst, Kathy Graham and Dominique Matthews will share this year’s Mission and Ministry experience in Haiti.

September 30: Poetry with Karen Robertson Henry
Karen (who goes by the nom de plume-Ayo) pulls in her stories, your stories, snippets of overheard conversations and observations, and weaves them into poems that beautifully illustrate the joys and struggles of our everyday situations.

October 7: Coffee Hour Only

October 14: Meditation Techniques with Craig Kimbrough
In this presentation we will be exploring simple meditation techniques that bring more positivity, peace, happiness, success and even miracles into our lives, simply by shifting our focus.

October 21: Manju…His Story and His Family’s
Manju Freeman will be sharing with us his family’s decision to leave their homeland, Liberia, and come to the United States and settle in Michigan.

October 28: Building Update
Join us for coffee and refreshments and learn the latest on our building updates and construction plans from Senior Warden Mark Schneider and project manager Gary Meier.

November 4: An Adoption Experience
Jessica Rienstra will speak about her experience with the adoption process, sharing pictures and information about the complexities of adoption and caring for orphans.

November 11: Courtroom Artist
Local and well-known artist, Jerry Lemenu provides a behind-the-scenes glimpse of his experience as a courtroom artist. Jerry keenly observes the emotion and underlying stories of his subjects.

November 18: Vestry Elections and Thanksgiving Baskets
Following Vestry Elections, if needed, we will help the children finish filling the Thanksgiving Baskets.
At our tables we will share conversations about our ability to be thankful and how we might do it on a daily basis, not just once a year!

November 25: Coffee Hour Only

December 2: Introduction to Advent
Advent is a season of preparation and anticipation that readies Christians for the birth of the baby Jesus at Christmas and also for Christ’s second coming. In this course we will learn not just more about what advent is, but how it can change our lives.

December 9: Red Wing Memories with Bill Collins
Mark Schneider will be interviewing Bill about his love for hockey and his time as a member of the Detroit Red Wings.

December 16: HOM Cookie Walk and Christmas Shopping
There are always lots of awesome cookies at our annual Cookie Walk as well as other Christmas gift items. All proceeds go directly to our Haiti Ministry and our ability to help secure needed medicine, and volunteers to implement the ministry.

December 23: Christmas Coffee Hour and Story Sharing
Join us at this special Coffee Hour when we will enjoy Christmas goodies and story sharing!

December 30: Caroling at the Mead
After our 10:00 am Service, we will gather at St. Anne’s Mead to lift up our voices and the spirits of those who live right next door to us.
