Volunteering... Musical Opportunities
The Chancel Choir (open to all those in high school and up) rehearses on Wednesdays from 7:00-8:30 p.m. and sings the Choral Eucharist on every Sunday and all feast days.
The Handbell Choir (open to all those in high school and up) rehearses on Wednesdays from 6:00 to 6:45 p.m. and plays for one Sunday service per month.
The Gospel Choir (open to all those in high school and up) is an ad hoc group that frequently provides music for Sunday services and participates on many feast days.
The Taizé / Evensong Choir is an ad hoc group that provides music for our evening services. Upcoming services will be announced in parish publications.
Cantors and Vocal Soloists perform specific liturgical pieces, including introits, antiphons, sacred solo works, and the plainchant Passion Gospel, which has become a Holy Week tradition.
Instrumentalists are always warmly welcomed and can be included in our worship.
Music Volunteers are invited to assist the Organist and Choirmaster with Children’s Choir rehearsals and organizational tasks.
Children/Youth Musical Opportunities:
At the present time, this ministry is taking a break.
The program will be for those ages 4 and up.
Rehearsals normally start in September will be on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month from 9 am to 9:30 am. Following the rehearsal, they will go to Sunday School. Throughout the church year, the children will give their gifts of music during the service.
